On July 10, the Putnam Chorale serenaded the Holy Mountain with tunes from their “United Songs of America” setlist. The second concert of our Harmony at Graymoor Summer Concert Series welcomed hundreds of visitors for a night of fellowship and fun!
The Putnam Chorale is the largest community chorus in Putnam County, NY. The group has been producing musical events since 1984 in an effort to provide camaraderie through choral singing and provide the area with compelling performances of a variety of music genres. Music Director Dr. Jason Tramm led the almost 30 local men and women in songs such as Testament of Freedom, Psalm 42 by Charles Ives, Blue Skies by Irving Berlin, My Funny Valentine by Richard Rodgers, plus many more!
We are halfway through our Summer Concert Series, which runs until September at St. Anthony Shrine. As part of our 125th anniversary celebration, this series is a wonderful way to connect with our Friars, Sisters, staff, and attendees on beautiful summer evenings!
One concert is scheduled each month from June through September. The Westchester Chordsmen kicked off the series on June 5. More than 100 guests enjoyed a unique acapella experience in comfort, thanks to new benches made from recycled plastics positioned around the Shrine.
We hope you’ll join us for another free performance by the talented cover band Mike Risko Band on August 6 at 6:30 p.m. (EDT). Doors open at 6:00 p.m.
