Dr. Aaron Hollander, Ph.D. has joined the staff as an Associate Director. Dr. Hollander has his Ph.D. from the University of Chicago Divinity School and a Master’s degree from the Irish School of Ecumenics. He has spoken internationally on matters of interreligious antagonism, dialogue, resistance, and reconciliation, and is published in the Journal of Ecumenical Studies, Teaching Theology and Religion, and Currents in Theology and Mission, as well as in several edited volumes. He has taught interfaith studies at Dominican University and worked as an instructor in the Theology & Religious Studies departments of Loyola University Chicago and DePaul University.
Among Aaron’s tasks will be the recruitment and review of articles for Ecumenical Trends, assisting the Director and the other Associate Director (Fr. Tom Orians, SA) in review of materials for the Week of Prayer for Christian Unity, representing GEII in ecumenical and interfaith events, conversations and study groups, and offering his expertise in lecturing on ecumenical and interfaith topics. He will also work on future planning for GEII with Fr. James Loughran, SA and Fr. Tom.
Aaron joins GEII initially from Chicago and will take up an office in the Interchurch Center in Manhattan on July 15, 2019. Welcome, Aaron!
