From March 10-14, 2025, college students from Manhattanville University’s Clark Scholars program gathered at Graymoor for the PATH (Peacemakers At-One Together in Hope) Immersion Program. This unique experience invited the students into a week of service, spiritual reflection, and community engagement, all rooted in the charism of At-One-Ment.
Throughout the program, students deepened their understanding of Atonement-Franciscan spirituality through guided prayers, liturgies, and reflective walks. They engaged in hands-on service, assisting with the creation of food baskets for those who come to Graymoor and need assistance. The students also explored themes of vocation, discernment, ecumenism and interfaith dialogue, and peacemaking. Meaningful conversations with the Friars and sisters, as well as interactive talks on the charism, unity, and reconciliation, provided moments of reflection, inspiration, and personal growth.
A highlight of the week was the closing “Sending Forth” prayer service, where students reflected on their experiences and committed to carrying the mission of peace and healing into their daily lives. The PATH Immersion Program proved to be a powerful testament to the enduring call of Atonement-Franciscan peacemaking, hospitality, and unity, leaving a lasting impact on all who participated.
