Send Us Your Prayer Intentions For A Loved One Suffering From Cancer

The COVID-19 pandemic is certainly something to take seriously. Yet, in the midst of it all, there are still millions battling cancer and suffering both in body and spirit. We run the risk of forgetting about them during this difficult time.

Now is the time to keep them in prayer and ask others to pray for them, too!

Send Us Your Prayer Intentions!

Did you know there is actually a patron saint of cancer patients?

St. Peregrine Laziosi was born in Italy in the 13th century. At one point in his life, he was scheduled to have his leg amputated because of a cancerous growth. The night before the surgery, he prayed for healing, received a vision of Christ coming down from the cross to touch his leg and was completely healed.

St. Peregrine reminds us that our God is the God of miracles. It can be difficult to ask for complete healing; we often feel unworthy, or as if God is so big that he couldn’t possibly care about us. St. Peregrine’s story reminds us that Jesus is our Emmanuel- God With Us- and that He loves His flock and tends to His sheep.

You are not alone and you are not forsaken.

We are the Franciscan Friars of the Atonement and we spend our days in prayer and service to God and all people He puts in our path. We work to ease the suffering of those we meet and we pray constantly for those in need. We would be honored to pray for you and your loved ones!

If you or a loved one suffers from cancer, whether Catholic or not, please consider joining our St. Peregrine Prayer Circle. Our priests offer a monthly novena of Masses and would love to add your prayer intentions to our offering.

Don’t wait, let us pray for you today!
