Spiritual Wisdom Through Film:

Each monthly gathering will focus on exploring the relationship between faith, culture, and lived experience through the lens of spirituality.

October’s feature film is The Burden:

Transforming hate to love. The film follows Mike Burden, an orphan raised by the Ku Klux Klan. When the woman he loves urges him to leave for a better life, the Klan seeks out vengeance. He ultimately finds healing when befriended by a Black Baptist minster, the Reverend Kennedy. This film is the winner of the Sundance Film Festival Award.
