Damian MacPherson, SA, the Director of Ecumenical and Interfaith Affairs for the Archdiocese of Toronto, and Pastor Christian Ceconi of Martin Luther Evangelical Lutheran Church in Toronto, recently sat down with Sebastian Gomes, host of Canada’s Salt & Light TV show, "Perspectives Weekly" to discuss the legacy of the Reformation and the new impetus towards full unity among the Christian churches in 2017. Fr. Damian says, "Ecumenism has to be pastoral."
The archdiocese has officially closed an 18-month cause and submitted its work to Rome where it will be assessed whether Father Paul Wattson, S.A., should advance to the next steps necessary to become a canonized saint of the Catholic Church.
