Why Advent Is The Best Time For Big Decisions
Modern life seems to move a million miles a minute. Even after our long list of daily tasks is complete, our down time often involves noise and hurried moments as we grab a bite to eat with friends.
How exactly are we supposed to hear the Holy Spirit above all the noise? How are we supposed to discern the vocation to which God is calling us? Advent.
The Advent season is not “gearing up for Christmas.” It’s not rushing from event to event, hoping that if we squeeze in enough twinkling lights, we can maintain joy from until the Epiphany.
Advent is a time to prepare our hearts and minds by slowing down and pondering the great mystery of God Made Flesh. Advent is the perfect time to discern God’s will for our lives.
It’s the perfect time for you to discern the priesthood, diaconate, or religious life.
