Each monthly gathering will focus on exploring the relationship between faith, culture, and lived experience through the lens of spirituality.

May’s feature film is The Divine Secrets of the Ya-Ya Sisterhood:

This is the story of 40 year old Sidda Walker’s desperate search to understand the life of her outrageous, beautiful, alcoholic mother, Vivi.  The story unfolds with scrapbook versions of Vivi’s rigid Catholic upbringing and the beginnings of the Ya-Ya Sisterhood.  Living her mother’s life through the scrapbook, Sidda comes to understand her mother’s character with all its lavish, passionate and humorous dimensions.
