The Friars of the Atonement are pleased to announce our newest tertiary candidates. Each brings a unique background with one commonality: a commitment to living their lives as Disciples of Christ. Please pray for these men and learn more about them here:
Scott Boyd (right)
My name is Scott Boyd. I am retired and live in Canton, MA. I attend and belong to the Chapel of Our Savior in Brockton, MA. I am a Eucharist Minister and a minister of Divine Mercy at the Chapel as well as a member of the Blessed Lucius Fraternity as a secular Franciscan and a member of the St. Joseph’s Men’s group. I visit with and serve communion to the residents at St Joseph’s Manor. I have been married for thirty-five years. I am the father of two sons and grandfather of three. I enjoy watching all kinds of sporting events and reading.
Douglas Dulli (left)
I am a recently-retired academic neurologist who, many years ago, was a candidate and early postulant for the Friars of the Atonement. I now wish to pursue this goal again as a TSA brother.
I live in Madison, WI and still have family where I grew up in Rutland, VT. I am married with five grown children, including one who is a Catholic priest.
I continue to teach medical school part-time. My interests include global health, and, until this year with the COVID pandemic, I traveled annually to Guatemala with medical students and Ethiopia with neurology residents. I hope to resume or enhance this activity next year.
My hobbies include endurance athletics, although I am near the end of that “career” as well. At age 69, it is getting harder to run! I also enjoy hiking, especially the Long Trail in Vermont, and the Appalachian Trail which runs through the Graymoor mountain.
Tom Grimsley (middle right)
My name is Tom Grimsley. I was born in May 1937 in Boston, MA. I attended parochial schools from the first grade through high school. I have been married for fifty-six years. My wife and I have three daughters, four grandchildren, and six great-grandchildren. I spent four years in the US Navy and have worked for various Electronic Companies. I am a Registered Nurse, but most of my practice has been volunteer work for the American Red Cross by responding to both national (Hurricane Katrina) and local (home fires) disasters. I now spend most of my time at the Chapel of Our Savior as a Eucharist Minister, Minster at the Divine Mercy service, preparing the weekly readings for the Men’s group and hosting the weekly Zoom meetings.
Paul Roach (middle left)
My name is Paul Roach. I was born in October 1950. I attended St. Mary School and Cardinal Spelman High School in Brockton, MA. I graduated from Suffolk University in Boston in 1979 with a BS with a concentration in History. From 1972 – 2002, I served on my local fire department rising to the rank of Deputy Fire Chief. My activities at the Chapel of Our Savior include Lector, Eucharistic Minister, and have led Stations of the Cross services and reposition of the Blessed Sacrament. I am also a Consolation Minister, having been instructed by Fr. Gerry DiGiralamo, SA at the Chapel.
