Join us for the 2nd Annual Be the Bridge: Walk for Recovery as we close our National Recovery Month on Sunday, October 1, 2023.
It will be fun-filled day of live music and family activities with breathtaking views as we walk together on the historic Walkway Over the Hudson in Poughkeepsie.
Last year’s Walk for Recovery was a great success as Friars, St. Christopher’s Inn leaders and staff, and hundreds of community members gathered to walk together across the Hudson River to raise awareness and support of the life-changing and lifesaving services of St. Christopher’s Inn.
All proceeds from the Be the Bridge: Walk for Recovery will assist men in crisis at St. Christopher’s Inn, a ministry of the Franciscan Friars of the Atonement. St. Christopher’s Inn has been a leader in providing addiction treatment and rehabilitation for men ages 18 years and older for more than 114 years.
Everyone knows someone who is or has been affected by the disease of addiction. More than 100,000 people die from drug overdoses annually. St. Christopher’s Inn’s provides hope to men ages 18 years and older by offering a continuum of quality health care services that facilitate physical, emotional and spiritual healing by providing chemical dependency treatment, primary healthcare and temporary housing.
Let’s walk together and show that while addiction is real, RECOVERY IS POSSIBLE!
