Friars of the Atonement-Graymoor to honor Saint Juan Diego on
August 3rd
Garrison, NY, July 21, 2008 On Sunday, August
3rd at 11am, the Franciscan Friars of the Atonement will mark
the 6th anniversary of the canonization of Saint Juan Diego.
The celebration will begin with mass in Spanish and English
in Pilgrim Hall, Graymoor, at 11:00 AM, continue with a festive
procession with stations commemorating the three apparitions
of the Virgin Mary to the saint, and conclude with an afternoon
of music, food, and family fun.

Friars of the Atonement Annual Golf Classic Raises $100,000
to Aid Chemically Addicted
Garrison, NY, July 7, 2008 The Franciscan Friars
of the Atonement raised $100,000 at their 16th Annual St. Christophers
Inn Golf Classic on June 9th at the Mount Kisco Country Club.
Proceeds will benefit the Friars programs of St. Christopher's
Inn, a residential shelter and treatment center for men which
is located in Garrison and St. Joseph's Rehabilitation Center,
for men and women in Saranac Lake; as well as the Halfway Houses
of Westchester in White Plains.

Friars of the Atonement Celebrate Jubilee at Graymoor
Garrison, NY, June 21, 2008 The Franciscan Friars
of the Atonement held a Jubilee Celebration on June 14, 2008
for ten friars observing 75, 60, 50 and 25 year milestones.
The V. Rev. James F. Puglisi, SA, Minister General, was the
principal celebrant and homilist at the Mass held at Pilgrim
Hall, Graymoor in Garrison, New York.

Friar of the Atonement, Fr. Dan Callahan, SA. competes in Lake
Placid Ironman competition
Garrison, NY, July 14, 2008 With the motto work
hard, pray hard, play hard, Father Dan Callahan is not
an ordinary man. He is a Franciscan Friar of the Atonement and
the Associate Pastor at St. Joan of Arc parish in Toronto. He
is also a highly accomplished tri-athlete, competing in his
10th Ironman competition at Lake Placid.
